Hey there, if your one of those people hoping to become a moderator on FlamesPk (Or any forum for that matter) Heres a few simple tips to help improve your chances.
1. Follow both the forum and in-game rules
It may be the most obvious, but it's also the most important tip. If your'e the type to constantly spam, or start pointless arguments on the forum, you might as well forget about being a moderator.
2. Use proper grammar
Another obvious one. Allthough many of you might be temped to use abbreviations often, it's best that you don't. Make sure u dnt leave out letters in your sentnses too oftn either.
3. Be active
If you've signed up to FlamesPk 1-5 days ago, and decide to apply for a Moderator position, there's a large chance that your application will be declined. Be relatively active both in-game and on the forums, but make sure you don't go overboard and post on every thread there is.
4. Don't ask a Moderator to promote you
Anyone with a bit of common sense should know that this will get you nowhere. As a matter of fact, it pretty much ruins your chances. Additionally, indirect statements such as "I wish I was a moderator...", or "I don’t think I have a chance at getting mod" won’t improve your chances either.
5. Be friendly
Answer people questions in a friendly manor. If someone attempts to start an argument, use your brain and don't get involved. Small things like this don't just help your chances of becoming a moderator, but also improve the community as a whole. If you truly must argue, or have to continue an off topic conversation, then take it to PM.
6. Contribute to the community
Post sensible suggestions on the suggestions thread, or help out by making a good guide for the community to read. Tips on making effective guides are in this thread: "How to make a good guide" Guide.
Following these simple tips won't guarantee a moderator position, but they definitely won't hurt your chances.[b]
